• Wikipedia School: Topics are divided into sections like maths, history, etc. Helpful for school assignments and projects.

Open Text Books : Not a lot of books as yet but promising

• College Open Text Books

• Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching: Here the emphasis is on multimedia. It uses videos and animations to explain abstract ideas like fourier series easily

• Connexions : Large collection of Small modules of different topics are available.

• Global Text : Some scanned and open text books

• Scivee : Science Videos. It has user-submitted videos of different researches going on around the world as well as videos illustrating important concepts. The Educational Youtube in short.

Unfortunately Naval Architecture topics are few (I found some ship structural design topics mainly) but other trades like Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics, etc have large volume of open materials. My appeal to fellow students: This is the first time in history of mankind where knowledge is made freevin all senses of the word. Utilize it. Contribute to it. Promote it.
